FAQ

Is the online registration process new?
YES! We are so excited to be offering to our club stakeholders a new and improved electronic registration process that can not only easily be accessed by any mobile device, but can also process online payments.

Where do I access the online registration forms?
It's simple, just visit our website: www.plattsmouthsoccer.org, click on the REGISTER button at the top right corner, create a household profile, then add your players to your household profile, and select the programs you wish to register for and follow the steps on the online registration form.

What is key information I need to have in order complete online registration?
We have created a simple checklist of things to think about and items to have ready in order to complete the process, so review the below that you have everything needed before you begin.

✔ Birth Certificates MUST be uploaded.
✔ Recent photo of player
✔ Hospital, Doctor, Insurance Information
✔ Emergency Contact Person
✔ Uniform/Jersey Sizes (if needed)

What are the fees/cost?
We recognize you have many options and considerations when selecting a extracurricular activity for your family. Therefore, we keep our registration fees affordable, as well as simple with flat rates, to serve our community as a recreational level soccer club. Fees are based on the players age division, check the Available Programs page for the flat fee. There are also uniform/jersey options for purchase depending on the division that you will see while registering. These fees vary depending on your need and division requirement.

Do you offer discounts?
There is an early bird discount to encourage our players to be signed up as early as possible to help the coaches begin planning for teams. There is also a family discount applied of $20 off per each additional player/sibling registration for a family.

Do I need to purchase a uniform?
All club players are required to have a proper uniform that is properly fitted for play. If you are a new player, you will need to  purchase one through the online registration process. If you are an existing player, and your jersey size needs updated and/or you recently moved to U9, you may need to purchase a new one and/or add a jersey.

Here are some key tips:

  • Micro players need to have the 'Club T-shirt'
  •  U7/U8 players need ONLY a BLUE Club jersey
  •  All U9 aged players and up need BOTH A BLUE and WHITE Club jersey
  •  Black shorts and solid blue socks can be purchased through us as a part of 'jersey kits', however, they can be purchased independently.

Do the registration fees include the uniform?
NO. Uniform purchases will not happen for all players every season, so those are purchased as needed. The online registration system will still do all the work for you to total the items in your cart for checkout as you register player/s and add any uniform items if needed to the registration.

Can I pay by credit card now?
YES! One of our best features of this new online registration process is that gone are the days of manually having to calculate fees yourself to then mail in the money along with your completed paper copy registration forms. We want to make it simple and stress free to complete the whole registration in one setting, including payment!

Do I have to pay by credit card now?
NO! When you are processing through the payment portion of the online registration, simply select the pay by check feature. All parties selecting that payment option must remit payment via cash or check payable to Plattsmouth Soccer Club within 7 business days of submitting online registration.

How do I submit my payment if I do pick the 'pay by check' option?
Remit payment by mail or drop-off within 7 business days of registering. Details below:

Plattsmouth Soccer Club
P.O. Box 43
Plattsmouth, NE 68048

By Drop-Off:

Do you really need a copy of the birth certificate to register?
YES! All returning players and new players will need to complete a ONE-TIME virtual upload of a copy of the players birth certificate. Again, even if you provided one prior to the Fall-23 session, going live with the online system requires us to have you upload the birth certificate as our system integrates directly to the Nebraska State Soccer Association (NSSA) and is a requirement.

Do you really need a recent photo?
YES! All returning players and new players will need to upload a recent photo of each player annually as part of the NSSA requirement for player passes.

Why do you need to know hospital, doctor, or emergency contact information?
Simply put, SAFETY first and it's required by NSSA. Should a coach or other club staff/volunteers need to call 911, we want to be able to direct them appropriately for the best care options possible and provide necessary information to appropriate parties, so we need your guidance with this info.

Why do you need to know insurance information?
Simply put again, SAFETY first and it's required by NSSA. Should a coach or other club staff/volunteers need to call 911, we want to be able to provide necessary information to appropriate parties, so we need your guidance with this info. Be sure to have your insurance card/s readily available when you do the online registration process.

What if I/We do not have insurance?
No worries, your player can still play and you can still register them in the online system. Simply place N/A in those required/related fields in the online registration process. Also know that as a part of the NSSA registration process, players are provided small limited liability coverage.

What other medical info is needed?
Anything you feel is relevant to your player participating safely and that coaches/volunteer staff needs to be aware of for that participation.
*Common health related items to consider would be allergies (bees, grasses, sunscreen, etc.), medical conditions such as asthma, seizures, diabetes, and/or medications that can impact health while participating in a physical activity and/or any activity restrictions a provider has given a player such as with concussion protocol.

When does a player move up from Micro?
Generally, at the beginning of a fall soccer season.

How the Birth Year Calculation Works
To calculate your player's soccer age, you subtract your child's birth year, from the end of the seasonal year. Final team placements are made by Plattsmouth Soccer Club leadership.
For Example:  In the 2023-2024 seasonal year, If your child is born in 2012 and the seasonal year ends in 2024, the calculation is 2024 - 2012 = 12. Your child's soccer age is U12.

2023 - 2024 Season
Playing Age..........Birth Year
U19..........................2005
U18..........................2006
U17..........................2007
U16..........................2008
U15..........................2009
U14..........................2010
U13..........................2011
U12..........................2012
U11..........................2013
U10..........................2014
U9.............................2015
U8.............................2016
U7.............................2017

Is there a Co-ed program or division?
Only at the Micro level. All other levels of play will be either boys or girls for team formation within those programs/divisions.

What does current versus rising grade mean?
Current is the grade your player is presently in or most recently completed while rising is for an upcoming school year.

Can I request a specific team/coach and/or request my player to play up a level?
All team formation is based first on birth year and solely at the discretion of the Directors and Plattsmouth Soccer Club Board. We are a recreational soccer club, not a select or competitive club. Therefore, our focus is on creating situations for player development of ALL players in the club and/or a team, not solely individual players development. We strive to create rosters and experiences for each player that will position them best to grow their level of play. We value open communication from our stakeholders, whether it be a player or a players' parents and/or guardians, but recognize that our limited number of club registrations often means we make player placements based on numbers not requests.

Does that mean I register my player based on the birth year for the division selection?
YES! While completing the online registration process you will be asked to do the program & division selection based on the birth year. We provide a calculation table for you to do that properly. This does not mean it will be your players final team level placement, Again, that will be decided by the Directors and the Plattsmouth Soccer Club Board.
