Micro Soccer is provided by Plattsmouth Soccer Club for preschool age children to foster excitement for the sport of soccer while building experience with basic skills and sportsmanship. Micro soccer is played 3 v 3 with no goalkeeper. No score is kept as the focus is on exposure to the sport, fun, and basic skills development. Plattsmouth Soccer Club utilizes a continuous play model for micro soccer. There are no throw-ins, goal kicks, or corner kicks. Micro sessions are 50 minutes in duration and are conducted mainly on Saturday mornings and Sunday afternoons. Sessions consist of short team practice followed immediately by games against an opponent micro team. All sessions are held at Rhylander Park in Plattsmouth, NE. Each player will need to have shin guards covered with socks or pants and their own water bottle. It is encouraged for each player to have their own size 3 soccer ball, but not required as some will be provided.
