The Role of a Coach
At Plattsmouth Soccer Club, our coaches play a pivotal role in shaping not just players’ soccer skills, but their character, teamwork, and love for the game. Coaching is about leading by example, fostering a positive learning environment, and helping every child reach their potential—on and off the field.
Our coaches are dedicated volunteers who share a passion for youth soccer and a commitment to the growth and development of our players. They are responsible for teaching the fundamentals of the game, encouraging sportsmanship, and promoting an atmosphere where kids can build confidence and have fun.
Caching Responsibilities
Coaches at Plattsmouth Soccer Club are entrusted with the following responsibilities:
- Planning and leading practices to teach soccer skills, strategy, and teamwork.
- Creating a safe and inclusive environment for all players.
- Setting a positive example by emphasizing good sportsmanship, respect, and perseverance.
- Communicating with parents and players about schedules, expectations, and progress.
- Supporting player growth in skill development, confidence, and love for the game.
Whether you are a first-time coach or a seasoned veteran, our club will provide guidance, resources, and support to help you succeed.
Benefit: Registration Stipend
We recognize the time and effort our volunteer coaches dedicate to our club. To help offset expenses, Plattsmouth Soccer Club provides:
- 3U-6U - $15 stipend for the Head Coach of each team to use towards registration fees.
- 7U-19U - $30 stipend for the Head Coach of each team. Additionally, the club offers one $30 stipend for Assistant Coach(es) per team to use towards registration fees.
This small gesture is a way of saying thank you for your dedication to our players and the soccer community.
